DescriptionAnnounced that it would destine BDT 1.1 billion (USD 9.7 million) to support rice producers during the 2024/25 Boro cycle. The funds would go to provide 1.5 million farmers with five kg of hybrid seeds, ten kg of di-ammonium phosphate and ten kg of muriate of potash. This assistance would be extended in addition to the BDT 899 million (USD 8.1 million) support package for Boro cultivation announced in October 2023.
