DescriptionBegan selling rice under the "Bharat" brand in 5 and 10 kg bags to consumer at maximum retail price of INR 29 (USD 0.35) per kg. For the phase of implementation of this "Bharat" rice sales drive, it would allocate 500 000 tonnes from public stockpiles, which would be sold through physical and mobile outlets of Kendriya Bhandar, the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India and the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India.
