DescriptionApproved a total of 240 000 tonnes of non-basmati white rice exports to five countries through the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL), as an exception to the export ban on this type of rice put in place in July 2023. The volumes consist of 20 000 tonnes destined to Comoros, 50 000 tonnes to Madagascar, 10 000 tonnes to Equatorial Guinea, 60 000 tonnes to Egypt and 100 000 tonnes to Kenya.
