DescriptionReinstated the 35 percent customs duty levied on paddy other than for sowing (customs code 1006109000) and on selected classes of semi-wholly milled rice (customs code 1006309000) imported outside of existing trade agreements. The move followed a court decision that suspended the August 2022 Executive Decree that had lowered these customs duties to 3.5-4 percent, as part of the Ruta del Arroz reforms.
