Policy InstrumentImport ban lifted

DescriptionLifted bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE)-related ban on German bovine meat. The ban was imposed in 2001 following outbreaks of BSE. However, exports will be restricted to deboned beef from animals under 30 months of age. Detailed inspection and quarantine requirements for this meat will be formulated separately.
