DescriptionAnnounced the increase of tariff rate quota (TRQs) for butter from 10 000 tonnes to 14 000 for the Japanese Fiscal Year 2024 (April 2024-March 2025). In-quota tariff rate remains at 35 percent for butter. The new TRQ aims to build buffer stocks and ensure a more stable supply of butter during summer in the event the forecast heat waves depress production. The TRQ volume for non-fat dry milk is unchanged at 750 tonnes for the same period.
