DescriptionApproved the Half-Half Fertiliser support programme, with the aim of lowering production costs of rice farmers by 10 percent and shoring up their incomes by the same margin. Under the scheme, the government would cover half the price that rice farmers pay for purchasing fertilizers for up to THB 500 per rai (USD 86 per hectare) and for a maximum of 20 rai (3.2 hectares) per farming household, with producers covering the balance. A budget of THB 30 billion (USD 830 million) was set aside to implement the scheme between 15 July 2024 to 31 May 2025, with the aim of benefitting 4.68 million households cultivating paddy during the 2024/25 season.
