DescriptionApproved a 34 percent increase in the tariff on wheat imports for the rest of 2016. The tariff will be raised from the R 911.20 (USD 61) per tonne established in September 2015, to R 1 224.31 (USD 82) per tonne. The increase of the tariff aims to protect local farmers from low international prices and sustain domestic production of wheat.
