DescriptionSold 755 000 tonnes of rice from Government reserves, out of a total of 1.0 million tonnes offered through two tenders held on 29 and 30 August 2016. Auctioned volumes comprised 703 000 tonnes of food-grade rice for export and 52 000 tonnes of broken rice for industrial uses.
