DescriptionLaunched the "Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai" (BPNT), as a sub-component of the "Rice for the Prosperous” (Rastra) programme, formerly known as "Raskin". The scheme will provide 1.29 million beneficiary households in 44 cities with a monthly cash outlay of IDR 110 000 (USD 8.3) to purchase up to 10 kilos of rice and 2 kilos of sugar in selected stores. Up to 10 million households would be targeted under the scheme in 2018, with the range of products offered in state outlets at subsidised prices also to be expanded.
