DescriptionAnnounced that it would purchase 700 000 tonnes of paddy and 800 000 tonnes of white and parboiled rice from the 2017 Boro harvest, between 2 May and 31 August 2017. Prices under the procurement drive were set at BDT 24 per kg of paddy (USD 294 per tonne), BDT 34 per kg of parboiled rice (USD 416 per tonne) and BDT 33 per kg of white rice (USD 404 per tonne).
