DescriptionDiscontinued, from 1 July 2017, state controls of food prices (including prices of sunflower oil and butter) that were meant to check rises in local retail prices.

NotesThe Ukrainian Government decided to discontinue, from 1st July 2017, state regulation of food prices, including for sunflower oil and butter. Previously, limits were imposed on rises in market prices, and food manufacturers were required to submit justifications for price changes to the concerned state agency. Reportedly, an experimental suspension of price regulations implemented over a 3-month period last year did not significantly affect consumer prices.
