DescriptionAnnounced it would raise incentives to rice farmers agreeing to cultivate coarse grains and oilcrops instead of rice, as a part of Green Environment Payment on Land Area programme. Farmers participating in the scheme would receive NTD 25 000 to 70 000 (USD 841 to 2 355) per ha for cultivating import-substitute crops, export-oriented crops and other policy specified items, up NTD 5 000 to 15 000 (USD 168 to 505) from previously offered levels. Farmers could apply twice a year, starting from the first crop cycle of 2018.
