DescriptionAnnounced that the direct payment programme encouraging production of high-quality rice would cover all townships during the first and second crops of 2018. Under the scheme, qualified farmers would receive direct payments ranging from NTD 10 000 to NTD 13 500 (USD 336 to 454) per ha, with an additional NTD 1 500 (USD 50) per ha offered to producers who also participate in rice production clusters.
