DescriptionDecided to expand the rice direct payment programme to fifty townships during the second crop cycle of 2017. Farmers participating under this run of the scheme would receive a direct payment of NTD 10 000 (USD 332) per hectare, with an additional NTD 1 500 (USD 50) per hectare extended to producers who also chose to participate in rice production clusters.
