DescriptionSigned an Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with Japan. Among other things, this will: (a) allow scrapping of Japanese duties on some dairy products such as Gouda and Cheddar cheese; (b) ensure protection under geographical indications (GIs) for more than 200 European agricultural products in Japan; and (c) protect some Japanese GIs in the European Union.
