DescriptionSigned a health and safety accord, which will allow chilled and frozen beef to be imported from France. This reversed an embargo introduced in the 1990s, in the wake of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BES) outbreaks in Europe, and follows similar agreements signed with Ireland, the Netherlands and Denmark during the past few months.
