DescriptionApproved a budget of THB 1.74 billion (USD 55 million) to extend a crop insurance scheme for paddy into the 2019 season. Under the programme, the Government would aim to bring 30.0 million rai (4.8 million ha) of paddies under insurance against six types of natural disasters, subsidizing 60 percent of insurance premiums. The scheme will be implemented from 1 April 2019.
