DescriptionIn response to the Fall Armyworm outbreak, the Government announced a support payment of JPY 5 000 (USD 46.8) per tonne if farmers purchase feed other than maize. It also provided financial support for storage costs for imported feed, and established a list of permitted pesticides to use on maize and sorghum crops.
