DescriptionAnnounced a five-month extension to the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana programme, originally scheduled to expire on 30 June 2020. As such, 800 million people will continue to be provided with a monthly ration of 5 kg of rice or wheat and 1 kg of pulses until the end of November 2020, free of costs, and on top of existing assistance under the public distribution system.
