DescriptionAnnounced that the Government would purchase 340 000 tonnes of rice from the 2020 harvest from 14 September to 31 December 2020, in order to refurbish state reserves and stabilize local prices. An additional 10 000 tonnes would be purchased as the country's contribution to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR).
