NotesCANADA – GMO approval: Canadian authorities approved a GM rapeseed rich in omega-3 fatty acids for cultivation, stating that the new variety posed no increased environmental risk compared to conventional rapeseed. The oil and the meal derived from the seed were deemed safe for human/animal consumption.
