NotesEUROPEAN UNION – GMO approval (rapeseed): EFSA issued a positive safety assessment regarding the use of a newly developed GM herbicide-tolerant rapeseed. The new variety’s use as food and feed was deemed as safe as that of conventional rapeseed. Taking into account the agency’s opinion, the European Commission and Member States are called to decide about the variety’s formal approval.
