DescriptionBanned imports of live poultry and poultry products from South Africa after outbreaks of the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) virus in several provinces. In addition to the ban, the Government also cancelled all related import permits, except for the transport of fresh poultry products from other countries moving through South Africa.
