DescriptionAccepted the provisional deal agreed upon with the European Parliament on the key elements of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform, covering the period 20232027. The new policy emphasizes the social dimension of agriculture, including adequate employment conditions for workers and the adoption of greener farming practices, which includes measures aimed at redistributing funds in favour of small and medium-sized farms. Under the agreement, member states will be required to redirect 10 percent of direct payments to benefit such farms.
