NotesCOLOMBIA biofuel policy: Citing unused biodiesel production capacity and adequate domestic palm oil supplies, in April, the Government raised the mandatory blending rate for biodiesel in regular transport diesel from 10 percent to 20 percent in most parts of the country. The higher rate entered into force immediately in Colombias central region, Bogota and the eastern plains, while in the Pacific and Caribbean coastal regions and the south-central part of the country the higher rate will be introduced in October 2021.
