NotesTrade differences – palm oil – Malaysia / European Union: The World Trade Organization (WTO) agreed to the establishment of a new dispute panel at the request of Malaysia concerning certain EU measures on palm oil-based biofuels, which allegedly confer unfair benefits to EU domestic producers of rapeseed and other biofuel feedstock (see MPPU Apr.’21). Eighteen WTO members reserved their rights to participate as third parties in the proceedings.
