DescriptionSuspended value added taxes on various imported products, including 25% broken rice, while also setting price ceilings on them. In the case of locally produced rice, retail prices were capped at XOF 16 500 for a 25 kg bag (USD 0.98 per kg) in the Grand Lomé District. For all regions of the country, a ceiling of XOF 16 000 would instead apply for a 50 kg bag of imported 25% broken rice (USD 0.48 per kg).
