DescriptionRemoved the deadline (previously set at January 2024) to ban the use of genetically-modified (GM) maize for feed and industrial purposes. In addition, the government also reiterated plans to prohibit GM maize for human consumption and to revoke authorizations and permits to import, produce, distribute and use the herbicide glyphosate.
