DescriptionAnnounced that, among steps it had taken to stabilize the supply of rice, it had requested that processors and wholesalers increase the volumes of rice they market by 20 percent under a Local White Rice Special Programme. For the purpose, Bernas would increase its releases of rice to wholesalers, with the scheme set to run in two phases, starting on 8 September and 15 September 2023.
