DescriptionRenewed the exemption of the Common External Tariff (CET) of the East African Community on imports of semi/wholly milled rice. Accordingly, semi/wholly milled rice will continue to attract an import duty of 45 percent (or USD 345 per tonne, whichever is higher) for an additional year rather than the 75 percent import tariff (or USD 345 per metric tonne) that it accrues under the CET.
