DescriptionBanned exports and re-exports of paddy, husked, semi/wholly milled and broken rice originating in India and brought into the country, including through free zones, after 20 July 2023. The restriction will be valid for four months, starting from 28 July 2023, and would be automatically extended unless otherwise decided. Companies wishing to export or re-export rice not originating in India would also have to request an export permit from the Ministry of Economy, which would be issued with a 30-day validity.
