DescriptionAdopted a new food security law which is due to come into force on 1 June 2024. The law includes provisions for the support of cereal production; income support for grain producers; and measures to modernize the agricultural sector. The stated aim of the new legislation is to ensure adequate grain production and to protect agricultural land from urbanization.
