DescriptionProposed halving the value-added tax on treated maize and sunflower seeds for sowing to ten percent. The measure would apply retroactively to sales since 1 January 2020, and will be in effect until 31 December 2029. Following a Supreme Court ruling in 2022 which considered the final use, the treated seeds have been subject to a 20 percent value added tax rate.
