DescriptionDecided that it would purchase 500 000 tonnes of paddy, 1.1 million tonnes of parboiled rice and 100 000 tonnes of non-parboiled white rice from the 2024/25 Boro harvest. The supplies would be procured between 7 May and 31 August 2024 at BDT 45 per kg of parboiled rice (USD 381 per tonne), BDT 44 per kg of non-parboiled rice (USD 372 per tonne) and BDT 32 per kg of paddy (USD 271 per tonne).
