DescriptionSigned an agreement with sector representatives and financial institutions to launch the Rice Export Guarantee Scheme (REGS). With USD 30 million, the RGES would aim to promote rice export growth by providing an 80 percent guarantee coverage on loans of up to USD 3 million borrowed by rice exporters and millers who purchase paddy from producers for processing and export.
