DescriptionDecided that the National Food Authority would purchase wet paddy at PHP 17 000-23 000 (USD 294-398) per tonne and dry clean paddy at PHP 23 000-30 000 (USD 398-519) per tonne. This compares to previously applicable levels of PHP 16 000-19 000 (USD 277-329) per tonne of wet paddy and of PHP 19 000-23 000 (USD 329-398) per tonne for dry clean paddy. The revised buying prices became effective on 22 April 2024 and could be adjusted and approved per province on a weekly basis, based on the prevailing ex-farm paddy prices.
