DescriptionApproved the Bigas 29 program. Under the scheme, supplies held in store by the National Food Authority would be released to beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), single parents, senior citizens, persons with disability and indigenous people at a price of PHP 29 (USD 0.5) per kg, in rations of up to 10 kg per household per month. The scheme would be rolled out as of July 2024, targeting to assist 6.9 million households across the country.
