AbstractThe Monthly Price Update is an information product provided by the oilseeds desk of the Markets and Trade Division of FAO. It reviews the development of international prices for oilseeds, oils and meals as reflected by FAO’s price indices.In July 2024, the FAO price indices for oilseeds and oilmeals declined compared to the previous month and remained below their year-earlier levels. By contrast, the vegetable oil index continued to rise for the second consecutive month and stood 4.0 percent above the value observed in the corresponding month in 2023.
