Rome, The Africa Regional Group of Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives accredited  to the Rome based UN Agencies have announced the endorsement of the candidature of Dr. José Graziano da Silva for a second mandate as Director General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

According to their statement, the African Ambassadors recognize the positive effects and achievements of the transformational changes, including further decentralization, put in place under the leadership of the Director-General during the last biennium, and welcome the continuation of his work in the eradication of hunger in the continent by 2025.
