Visiting officials from Italy, the
FAO and the Secretariat of the
International Treaty joined Zimbabwean officials, civil society organizations and farmers to celebrate the
International Year of Millets (IYM). The celebrations, which put the spotlight on the many advantages of growing and consuming millets, were held in Masvingo, the country’s oldest city, resonating with the IYM slogan “rich in heritage, full of potential.”
