“CAPACITY BUILDING GAP CERTIFICATION FOR AUDITORS TRAINING MODULE” IS BEING ORGANIZED BETWEEN 18-21ST OF APRIL 2022

Thus, GAP introduction in agriculture and livestock sector, the first phase of food production has been encouraged by the law on Food and Food safety which was approved in 2012. As a result, in May 2019, a joint order of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the Minister of Health approved a “Simplified guideline to implement GAP in the fruits and vegetable production” and the GAP logo was approved and registered by the intellectual property organization. 

SDC funded “Mongol Nogoo” project implemented by FAO Mongolia initiated GAP introduction and certification activity in Crop production and paying attention on creation of GAP validation system. As of today, more than 40 vegetable producers introduced the GAP in their activity and it has been certified by a third certification body and 1 external certification organization. Training on “CAPACITY BUILDING GAP CERTIFICATION FOR AUDITORS TRAINING MODULE” is being organized in hybrid mode (online and in person) in collaboration with Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry between 18-21st of April 2022 with the purpose to intensify the establishment of GAP national certification system.
