26/06/2023

"Strengthening Food Safety and Plant Health Protection Systems in Mongolia" project organized an intensive 5-day training program designed to prepare agricultural drone pilots.

Two kinds of advanced drones, Agriflyer and Buildflyer, were procured with the financial support of the Japanese Government and four trainers from the esteemed drone manufacturer, Ishikawa Energy Research LLC, conducted the training.

The Agriflyer drone sprays liquid and/or solid chemicals over one-hectare area within just 10 minutes. Equipped with cutting-edge camera, the Buildflyer drone proves to be an exceptional tool for high-resolution photography, surveying, and inspection tasks.

The designated operational sites for these drones are the Extension Centers of the Mongolian Farmers Association for Rural Development located in Bornuur, Orkhon, and Mandal soums of Tuv, Darkhan-Uul, and Selenge aimags. 15 pilots from the aforementioned three soums as well as Ulaanbaatar were successfully equipped with the skills and knowledge to proficiently operate the drones.
