IFC, FAO, Mercy Corps, and AmCham Mongolia, jointly organized the first Pioneer in Beef and Dairy development in Mongolia Seminar with the theme Productivity, Partnership and Prorgress, an initiative to promote modern livestock technologies in Mongolia, thereby boosting the sector’s productivity and competitiveness.

Participants discussed challenges and opportunities on five topics: i) raising cattle for meat, and breeding; ii) production of milk and milk products; iii) animal feeding operation; iv) financing agriculture and livestock business; and v) production of meat and milk end products. The workshop was a good opportunity for key players to get connected to learn and share information. The main achievement was participants came to an agreement that partnership and developing in cluster system would be key to successful progress.
