International student conference "Peace and Sustainable Mountain Tourism - Challenges and Opportunities"

The Faculty of Sustainable Mountain Development at Georgian Technical University will host an international student conference on "Peace and Sustainable Mountain Tourism – Challenges and Opportunities" from 26 to 28 September 2024 in Tbilisi, Georgia. This conference, coinciding with World Tourism Day on 27 September, aims to foster collaboration and generate innovative ideas among Georgian and international students.

The conference will bring together international experts, students and stakeholders to address key themes such as tourism's role in peacebuilding, sustainable development and the impact of climate change on mountain tourism.
Key events include a panel session and online workshop, an ecotourist hiking excursion in the Tana Protected Area, and the presentation of reports and conference closing.
