The event "How coffee value chains foster climate-resilient livelihoods: experiences from the Business Incubator and Accelerator in the Slow Food communities" will take place on 27 September 2024 from 16.30 at Parco Dora in Turin during Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2024.

This session will explore the critical role of agroforestry coffee production and practices for building a sustainable value chain, with a focus on Uganda and Malawi. Discussions will centre on the latest publication produced by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, titled How coffee value chains foster climate-resilient livelihoods: The FAO-Slow Food Coffee Coalition experience.

Key speakers will include representatives from the Mountain Partnership Secretariat of FAO, Slow Food Malawi and Slow Food Uganda, who will share their experiences from the field. This session will emphasize the importance of sustainable agricultural practices and the engagement of all actors in the coffee value chain.
