International conference "Mountains: Biodiversity, landscapes and culture"

The Sustainable Caucasus has combined efforts with Qərbi Kaspi Universiteti/Western Caspian University to co-host The 2nd International Conference "Mountains: Biodiversity, Landscapes, and Cultures" to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, 5 to 6 November, 2024.

The event is designed to foster connections between knowledge sources and cultivate narratives, pathways and visions for a sustainable future. The conference gathers participants around four major topics: global mountain biodiversity assessments, ecological problems, mountain cultures, and mountain tourism and economic impacts. To encourage broader engagement and collaboration, the event offers both in-person and virtual participation options.

The conference is currently accepting accepts abstracts on the respective topics to be submitted to the event organizing committee. Please note that the participation costs of the selected authors will be covered with the exception of the travel costs.
