International Conference 2024: Climate-resilient agriculture for sustainable food systems in the Hindu Kush Himalaya

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), in collaboration with the Government of Nepal and the Green Resilient Agricultural Productive Ecosystems (GRAPE) project, is hosting the International Conference 2024 on Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Food Systems in the Hindu Kush Himalaya. The conference will take place from 1 to 3 October at the ICIMOD Headquarters and Living Mountain Lab (LML) in Godavari, Nepal.

The conference aims to advance climate-resilient agricultural solutions and promote the sustainability of mountain food systems in the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region. Key objectives include fostering cross-learning of climate-resilient practices, addressing barriers to their adoption, and encouraging regional cooperation among stakeholders.

The event will bring together experts, researchers, practitioners and policymakers to discuss strategies for building climate-resilient mountain food systems. This gathering follows the successful 2023 conference on Enabling Resilient and Sustainable Food Systems in the HKH and will continue the momentum in exploring innovative solutions to address climate change impacts.
