Mountains, uplands, lowlands. European landscapes from an altitudinal perspectiveInnsbruck and Seefeld, Austria
From: 05.09.2016 to: 09.09.2016The 27th session of the Permanent European Conference for the Study of the Rural Landscape (PECSRL) will be held on 5-9 September 2016 at two locations: Innsbruck and Seefeld, Austria. All institutions, geographers, landscape architects, historians, ethnographers, archaeologists, ecologists, rural planners, landscape managers and scholars interested in European landscapes are invited to present abstracts for oral and poster proposals. PECSRL particularly welcomes papers on comparative themes related to European mountain areas – comparisons between different mountain areas, between mountains and their adjacent areas or between highlands and lowlands – either with a topical or thematic, theoretical or methodological emphasis. PECSRL is also looking forward to submissions on topical issues of rural areas in Europe. Deadline for abstracts is 5 February 2016. PECSRL is an international network of landscape researchers and a platform for new initiatives, meetings and publications with a focus on the past, present and future of European landscapes, relating to landscape research, landscape policy and landscape management.
