The Economics of Climate Change Mitigation Options in the Forest SectorOnline
From: 06.02.2015 to: 27.02.2015Recently, attention has shifted towards the role of forests and its products in climate change mitigation which paved the way for various initiatives. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) is organizing an online conference, called “The Economics of Climate Change Mitigation Options in the Forest Sector” to explore how different interventions in the forest sector might help to mitigate climate change, on 6-27 February 2015. The discussion will allow for the sharing of country experiences as well as analyses of the costs and benefits of various options under a range of different circumstances. The topics will be structured under two themes, namely, “Climate change mitigation through forest management interventions” and “Climate change mitigation through improved wood utilization”.
